Elisha London keynote speaker
- Access & Inclusion for Global Mental Health
- Preventing the Mental Health Epidemic
Elisha London is an entrepreneur and global mental health advocate. She is now the CEO and Founder of Prospira Global providing advice to global companies, philanthropists and investors on private sector action on mental health. She is also the Founder and Advisor to the Board of United for Global Mental Health; an organisation committed to ensuring everyone, everywhere has someone to turn to in support of their mental health.
In 2013 Elisha suffered a trauma and was diagnosed with PTSD and depression. Following her recovery Elisha was appointed as Campaign Director for the Heads Together Campaign, spearheaded by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. The campaign was the first of its kind, creating a national conversation on mental health in the UK and fundraising to establish a series of legacy projects in the UK to increase support for individuals across the country.
Following her role with Heads Together Elisha dedicated her time to understand mental health around the world. Prior to her work with Heads Together Elisha was a leader in development campaigning, having founded Global Poverty Project (“Global Citizen”) in the UK, with a background in corporate, philanthropic and public fundraising.
Seeing the huge gap that exists in addressing mental health around the world, Elisha decided to combine her personal experience and passion for mental health with her professional experience as an entrepreneur, fundraiser and advocate; in 2017 Elisha brought together the team to establish United for Global Mental Health, which launched in 2018. She was UnitedGMH’s first CEO until 2021 and now supports the organisation as Founder and Advisor to the board.
Previously Elisha has consulted for a range of multilateral, and non-profit organisations as well as global businesses including the UK Department for International Development, PWC, the Overseas Development Institute and The World Bank. She has also worked to establish a number of funding solutions for non-profit organisations including establishing the Endowment Fund for The Oaktree Foundation (Australia) and the first philanthropic campaign for the Sydney Opera House.
She holds an MBA from TRIUM (NYU New York, LSE London, HEC Paris), and an MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics.
Elisha is a member of the World Economic Forum Global Futures Council on Mental Health, and Co-Chaired the Global Futures Council on Neuro-technologies in 2019. She was honoured for her leadership in 2020 when she was appointed as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.
Elisha has spoken at many high profile events, to highlight just a few: The UN General Assembly’s first standalone event on mental health and The WHO’s World Health Assembly. She has presented to global executives for companies such as Unilever, HSBC, PWC at their company events, and at Global Summits including the Concordia Summit and the annual Nexus Global events in NYC.
Elisha is a member on the advisory council of Selena Gomez’s Rare Impact Fund - which focuses on mental health in educational settings.
